Quran at Al Furqan Academy consists of Tilaawah and Hifdh
Our Quran curriculum guides students through four progressive levels of Tilaawah (recitation), focusing on mastering Tajweed and fluency. Alongside this, our structured Hifdh programme emphasises memorisation, revision, and understanding of the Quranic text. Each level builds on the previous, helping students develop confidence and a lifelong connection with the Quran.

Building a solid foundation in Arabic reading and writing.
It is vital that students are able to read and write in Arabic before they can start their Quran and Arabic studies. As such the Nooraniya is a concise book that has been designed for this sole purpose. The book consists of 17 lessons that cover the key principles to reading Quran and Arabic. After students finish the book they are expected to be able to read any Arabic text that has the vowel markings. The aim is for students to finish this book within a 2 year period. From here once their foundations have been solidified they can move onto the next stages.

Students learn practical skills such as performing Wudhu and Salah, alongside studying the lives of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), the Sahaba, important Surahs, Duas, and other key Islamic knowledge.
This subject is essential for nurturing a strong moral foundation and fostering a deep connection to their religious identity.
